Top 10 Wet Fly Swing Fly Fishing Podcast Episodes
I loved the episode with Tom because Tom was a big influence on planting the seed that I could do a fly fishing podcast. I listened to pick up tips and to find out what people were really struggling with out there.
I loved this podcast because it was my first published podcast episode and provided a ton of value on steelhead fishing. We dug into the OP and the Klickitat. The cool thing is now, I’m doing my first hosted trip with Jack on the OP. You can get more information on this trip here.
I loved this episode because it was with one of the greatest fly fishing writers in fly fishing. I was a little nervous going into it but and was a big highlight for me for the first 2 years of the show.
I loved this episode with Pete Humphries because he broke down some great spey casting tips that helped me the next day. Pete has a way of simplifying and clarifying two handed casting. I connected to Pete through Kevin Feenstra who was on the podcast here.
I loved this episode with Devin because it was one of my first euro nymphing podcasts. I didn’t know it at the time but euro nymphing is one of the most popular fly fishing techniques we have today. Lots of tips from leader to fish in this one.
I loved this episode because it was almost 2 hours long. I loved how Kelly broke things down and surprised me. I loved how cool of a guy he was and easy to chat with. If you haven’t seen his youtube channel it’s very great so go check it out here.
I loved this episode because it was Dec. Although I would have loved to go deeper into some of the steelhead topics, the passion was all over this one and was great to put it together. This is probably the most controversial episode of the year.
I loved this episode because it was with a person who I had known and looked up to for most of my life. Jim was a bigger than life figure for me so was fun to sit down and hear the whole story.
I loved this episode because it was my first stillwater episode and I didn’t really know Phil before this point. I heard about him from Darren MacEachern who was on the podcast here. Phil blew me away with his knowledge in this episode.
1. WFS 058 – Hank Patterson Interview – The Greatest Fly Fishing Guide | Travis Swartz, Reel Recovery, F3T
I loved this episode because I was able to make a connection with Travis as well as Hank. It’s a pretty crazy story hearing how his side kick passed away and how he was able to move forward with the show. Some deep stuff in this one and lots of laughs.
and now for the Top Fly Fishing Podcasts on Apple Podcasts……
Top 11 Fly Fishing Podcast on Apple Podcasts
I was on the Barbless Podcast here at IfTD. These guys are putting together a very good show and are trying to take over the world of fly fishing. New Apps and I’m sure plenty of new ideas are upcoming in 2020.
I had Jason Rolfe on the Wet Fly Swing Podcast here. Jason is now the editor of the Fly Fish Journal and always has a good take on fly fishing and writing.
I had Greg Keenan on the Podcast here. We dug into a bunch of nerdy podcasting chat and a little on fishing. Greg has become a good friend of mine and looking forward to some great stuff from his show in 2020.
April was on the Wet Fly Swing Podcast here. This was one of the biggest podcasts I had done at the time and still comes up a lot on new episodes. April’s show, Anchored was purchased by the Meat Eater Network.
I had Rob Snowhite on the Wet Fly Swing Podcast here. We talked about steelhead fishing and the Salmon River “near” where he lives.
I had Paul Puckett on the Wet Fly Swing Podcast here. We talked about the good stuff Paul has going down south and a little Redfish.
Elliott was on the Wet Fly Swing Podcast here. It was tough to see Elliott pack it up since he was doing such a good job with the show.
