I sat down and had a great chat with Tom Rosenbauer from Orvis Fly Fishing, one of the most influential people in fly fishing and the man behind the largest fly fishing podcast in the world.

We talk about the story behind Orvis, some tips, tricks and common questions.  Tom gets into the easiest way to get started if you are brand new.  This is the perfect show if you are just getting started or want to hear the story behind Orvis.

  1. I just started listening to pod casts and enjoyed this one. It was interesting hearing about Toms background. Made me feel better that he still considers himself a “begginer”. I’ve been fly fishing for 6 years and feel that I know less than when I started.

    • Hey Brian. Yeah, isn’t that amazing that with all of Tom’s experience he still thinks that way. I think this is why fly fishing is one of those life long things. Hopefully I’ll be able to provide some more content that helps you step up your game this year. Thanks for taking time to leave a comment!

    • Thanks for sharing the link! I love my regal but this appears to have many of the same features. If anyone else has a vise below $100 please share it here.

  2. Have no way of knowing if Tom will get this . My other was an avid sewer and she suggested I cut my tippit on a 45 degree so that I had a point to put thru the eye of the hook . Never have seen anyone propose this in the m
