The Disco Midge Fly Tying Tutorial [Video]

     

In todays episode I show you how to tie a disco midge.  A super basic pattern but also super effective and works great year around.

Only a few materials to use for this fly so let’s get started!

Thread:  Size 70 Ultra Thread red

Hook:  Mustad C49S size #14

Body: Size 70 Ultra Thread red

Rib:  Pearl Flashabou

Thorax (collar):  Peacock

The Disco Midge can be fished below a strike indicator with a little weight and is a great winter pattern.
